Hi!
I want to mask the top of a cylinder. I selected a circle (with select rect) and added it to a new polygroup. Then I pulled out the mask rectangle and (with only the polygrouped circle visible) i masked it.
Then I ctrl+shift click into space to show all again, and i saw that a part of the other polygroup has been masked aswell (eventhough it was not visible)
So after playing around with shrink/grow, sharp and blur and also with the mask pen I found out that every time I mask one part, the poly next to it will get masked a bit lighter.
In everyone of these I couldnt get rid of the lighter part of the mask, even not when I only showed one circle, added it to a own polygroup and masked it while only the polygroup was visible.
Im trying myself on hard surface stuff, and I wanted to push a circle straight in (like a smaller subtracted cylinder) without having a beveled edge (since the lighter part of the mast will look like that if i move it)
I guess im missing some kind of option in the menue…
thanks in regards
PS: focalshift -100 wont change anyhting either and it doesnt matter wich mask brush i use
