Map export problem with UVs and Max

Hi. I would appreciate it if someone could help me to solve a problem I am having with exporting displacement maps from ZBrush 3.0 to 3DS Max 7.0.

In testing the workflow between Max and ZBrush I have been using an extremely simple sample model - a box with flattened UV mapping. The UVs check out in ZBrush with no problem, but the mapping space is not symmetrical (and I see no reason why it should be). When I test the generated displacement (alpha) map in ZBrush using Make Tex, it is aligned fine. But in max the map is offset and can only be corrected by adjusting the tile offset value in the map parameters, something I don’t want to do as it is inaccurate guessing what that value should be from sight alone. None of the options I can find in ZBrush - flipping the map horizontally or vertically, rotation, or any combination - corrects the problem, and there are no options in the Displacement Exporter to correct it either.

As I say in ZBrush the map is correctly positioned, but in Max it is shifted. Something is going on between ZBrush and Max to make the map unusable.

Please help, I am getting perfect results apart from this problem of map alignment. Thanks is advance for any responses.
