Making Time For Art. Update3@Page 24, Update2@ Page 11, Update1@ Page 7

…over it?

A classic bit of product design as well as showing off the machined look capabilities in the current version of a kick ass app

Well done man!

Bloody aurick. You have a skill ! Put the fire on something and then not providing the Fireextinguisher … I hate you

I’ve been wondering when animation was going to be intergrated with ZBrush. Ever since … 2003 … ZBrush 1.55b … when you gave us a sneak peak with your ZScript for your dino mesh walkcycle test!! - Any chance you where going to finish that script?? It’s so cool!

I like how the dino blinks it’s eyes!

Upham

My personal opinion is that ZBrush doesn’t need much by way of full studio animation abilities. Just a thing or two that showcases the model which, as I said earlier, is one of the things that might be seen in the video. This, I feel, is one of many other new goodies that they have been tackling over there at at PHQ. ZBrush has also gone through some major rewrites under the hood since 1.55b. In tracking the advancements, I think showcase animation is coming though I am not sure how soon and that’s fine by me. I am guessing ZSpheres were the start of, and even the core of, a Z boning system (as we can already see with binding zskiffs). One thing I believe people take for granted is the time it takes to make all the elements harmonize in the Z Environment. And I just don’t mean making it work on a coding level like other software. Pixologic doesn’t think that simple. I mean something that not only works as we saw 7 years ago, but something that blows back the heads of everyone in the industry, redefining what we know about 3d art and how we create such art.
And as for animation, I think Pix is looking beyond simple motion mechanics of our 3D models. Pix’s post, though incredibly technical in its subject, still resides in the realm of art. Hence the projects title ‘Time For Art’. In making it easier for us to create such amazing works so intuitively, without technical bounds, and with great fun; Pixologic has also open the doors for the rest of the industry to utilize this artistically based workflow to their advantage.

So, the main question is: Z for work or Z for Art?
Even though it is heaven for both, I graciously choose the latter.

But, once again, this is merely my opinion.

Very beautiful piece of design, as many other people have already said, I would love to have it around my wrist
I started using zbrush not long ago, but I already know it’s only the beginning of a very long love story with this software and what you show here only reinforce that idea, thank you for the passion you and the pixologic team put in your work. You are one of the very rare company who really give me the feeling to be more interested in my satisfaction and my pleasure than in my money and every feature you add demonstrate that even more,

As a sienote, I would also really love to know about this music, it reminds me a bit of Eric Satie (I know it’s not him obviously, but it has the same kind of “feeling”.

I can read a date on the clock…

BTW, amazing model, congratulations, Pixolator. Congratulations, Pixologic.

Nice use of the “drawing” matcaps and render modes to simulate vector art for the backgrounds. Of course. I could (hopefully?) be wrong.

Ofer maybe reminding us that there’s more to Z than sculpting?

Using photoshop layers to create multiple layered shapes out of a plane?

I saw a really cool video for ZBrush 4 God…when was that? Oh I remember it was a long, long, time ago. It still has yet to materialize for PC or MAC. No 3.5 MAC. Maya and video editing can do some cool stuff. I have seen cool stuff before Please Please prove me wrong.

Sebcesoir, I think we may be seeing individual subtools on their layers moving in X, Y, or Z along with the POV move in Z or rotation on the master layer?

I’d like to see some better renderer linking than animation, IMO…

So, the main question is: Z for work or Z for Art?
Even though it is heaven for both, I graciously choose the latter.

I say it’s built for play. Work…Art…yeah it’s built for those, too, and each is more fun, though, if you consider them PLAY!

Thanks, Pixolater!

Brilliant as ever! May your evolution always manifest perpetually!

Brilliant piece of work, absolutely amazing. I’m just getting into this whole 3D / ZBrush thing and this just inspires me more. Thank you.

Just have to wait for 3.5 for the Mac now, something I’m looking forward to.

Thanks again.

Beautiful work. I can’t wait to see the process images!

Impressive work. And ZBrush for Mac Coming Soon  ?

Awesome! Thanks for that.

For Mac users: Is it ZBrush 3.5 or are we going straight to 4?

Outstanding video and stills Pixolator!! Woah!!!

Waiting to see the process of creation as well

P.S. Sign me up for a watch as well if you decide on creating this one

Very cool, job well done

Oh my god!

Pixolator, you are a dream maker.
I’m not gay,
but regardless, would you marry me?
