Some of the model looks like it was created with a boolean subtraction style method. Most notably the housing around the front rim of the watch. Looks like you arrayed cylinders along the ring and then subtracted their form from it.
This is awesome! Cant wait for the Mac version! I WANT TO CREATE SOME HARDSURFACE STUFF!!!
Btw the hour counter doesnt make much sense since its 0 the three counters and then 3 instead of 4 o.O haha just an observation i made…
Thank you very much I will greatly enjoy seeing these updates!
I like it more every time I look at it. Really impressive. small_orange_diamond
Like everyone else, I want one too… prefer the steel version myself
thnx for the stills
Thats really impressive… So clean!
It looks like having a local radial symmetry that allows you to paint gears in masks and extrude clean shapes out of it.
I don’t know lol
The silver version is gorgeous…
I WANT this Watch.
The vector outlines in the background REALLY intrigues me. I know how to do that in post but…to think of those objects as pre-production splines and think of them as Z imports to create new tools really gets the imagination…and hopes…running!
Very very nice!!
I’m glad I am on vacation for two weeks…
It truly is time for art.
Its Great to see you back Pix! I never thought I would have a wallpaper of a watch on my computer
Oh well
FANTASTIC!!!
What program was used to make the watch?
Is soundtrack available?
Love the stills, really brilliant hard-surface work and I’m excited now to hear of these new features
Pixolator made this, what else would be used It’s 100% Zbrush, that’s the great part!
what else would be used
Maya, Max, Xsi, Carrara 6…
Mr. P. has been known to use a ringer now and then.
(ever hear of the expression “tongue in cheek”)
Ok now you got me. I’m intrigued!
En-light me! What are you seeing that i cant see ?!
Animation in Zbrush ?!
Poetry…from a watch!
Fantastic.
great stills but what about the animation portion , done within Zb?
I bought Zbrush just recently with the release of 3.5R3.
While I was interested in this App from beginning on I found it too specialized in Character creation in earlier releases to make sense for my personal needs. Now it were mainly the Hard-Surface-Tools which made me start exploring Zbrush’s usability as a conceptual tool in Industrial Design. What gets shown in this awesome Watch-Video demonstrates that you even took some further steps from 3.5.
I am very curious what else you have to reveal!
I p’d myself…and I’m not ashamed to say so. To be able to apply planar moves to layers in animation is what I think I see.
I see so many other things that represent evolutionary jumps in Zbrush.
Mac users will forget their frustration quickly, and the PC side will very soon see that version.
that was amazing especially when the watch went back together so many pieces great work
Since everybody is piching in, here is what I think I see…
I see TEXT, vectors maybe? vector masks? groups loops? huh? mmm?
Well this IS my first post, I had to “say” something!
AWESOME work Pixolator!
I have been lurking 'round for long, I hardly ever have the opportunity to work in Zb, but every time I do there is something new and awesome, can’t wait to see what’s in for us mac guys!
Great art you all!
