Now that zBrush 4 has finally been revealed, the videos leading up to it make a lot more sense. Except for this animation created from a single image. I would like to know how this was made, which new features are used etc. Any ideas?
me too. thought of that today.
come to think of it, I’d also love to know how exactly that singing&swinging weight lifter animation has been done. ?
For the image morph I guess it was done using a plane - see the project in the zip.
For the weight lifter, that’s a zsphere rig which is animated through the zsphere layers.
HTH,
thanks again Marcus. Didn’t have the time to dive deep into it yet, but so far I just couldn’t figure how to get Zsphere rigs to really deform a character properly. what I mean in specific is for example and ellbow joint which really works as it should and not deforms the whole arm in that rubber kind of way.
or rotating a head and have it rigidly rotate while maintaining the shape and not warping. how do you realyl control and focus the influence of a joint/link? I always get too much all over the area influence.
It looked like he used the removal tool in Spotlight to create two distinct layers, and then warped the image somehow on the timeline. I don’t know why I am guessing, they said they would explain them later.
I assumed as much until I learned of animation import, then I was no longer sure.
