making the object transparent

I am using a front and side plane with images mapped onto it. I have appended a head model and want to make it somewhat transparent so I can see the reference images. I know I have done this before, but can’t remember how. I am using ZBrush 4r4 but have not used it much for the past few months because I was working with other 3D apps for my job.

Any info would be helpful and appreciated.

handled in the same place you applied your reference images I believe.

If by ‘plane’ your referring to actual plane subtools used as image planes see this:

but if your actually talking about using references images on the grid planes:

Draw Pallet>Fill Mode slider to 3 (all the way to the left) (you’ll find the fill mode slider next to the big orange square window that says ‘floor’ in it.

Once you have that ‘Fill Mode’ slider in the 3 position you will be able to use the ‘opacity’ slider.
