Making FLat zsub?

Flat lines Well I have a cyborg Model And I need to make flat lines in it.

Ive played with Alphas Focal shift Masking etc.

The only way I can make a flat steady line is to mask it and use and alpha square I made in photoshop which is essentially a White line in the middle of a black layer.

It makes and ok line But I would like to use a brush.

I used Flatten brush already. And different brush settings.

Does anyone know a good trick.

using standard brush and ZSUB produces a V line not a flat surface.

like the ^ instead of like this _.

So if anyone knows and can explain please do.

once Again Im making flat lines on a circuit board what are your best options in Zbrush.

I could a Boolean and a 3d app but that wont go back into zbrush.

Why not use the Layer brush with Zsub active, the FreeHand stroke type, and a Focal Shift of -100. With Stroke>Lazy Mouse active, you can get a nice, smooth stroke.
