Hi guys,
This question is related to using a normal map from a high poly Zbrush model for use on a lower poly Maya model…
What I’m looking for is the best way to go about this…
I’ve painted a bit of a texture map already so that’s fine, I now want to paint on dinosaur skin/scaly look using normal map…
What I’ve tried is to paint onto the model usng alpha for scales on my brush black/grey on the parts i want scaly.
I then used the zbrush tools to export the texture map and i’ve turned it into a normal map outside of zbrush only it doesn’t look great.
Firstly, if you were to make the normal map in zbrush itself, how would you have the settings for that?
Secondly, is there a better way to get a great looking skin/scaly effect that someone can share with me?
Thanks in advance!
