Making a TIE Fighter (FanArt)

Hello ZBrush World

Thought I would start sharing some renders of past streams I’ve done on the ZBrushLIVE channel. Starting with my most recent series, the TIE fighter.

In fact, I have some cool plans for this piece for May the 4th Be With You day. That will come later but for now I’ll share the plan for me to turn this into a table top collectible for myself.

Before we get into the renders. In case you missed the two streams, here are the two videos of me breaking down how I made this TIE Fighter 100% in ZBrush.

I also made an IMM brush as I went along in the project. Here is the brush for you to use. Enjoy!

Please let me know if you have any questions at all. All the best.

Part 2

Now onto some renders. This is a 100% ZBrush render. Just having some some with NPR filtering in ZBrush.

Some other ZBrush renders:

Then I decided to make a table top collectible piece from this, which again I have another idea that I’ll be sharing on May the 4th Be With You.

These are all Keyshot 11 renders.

Fantastic. Love to see the print.

@Leonard_Yee I’ll definitely post it here once it’s complete. I will also be doing something else for May the 4th Be With You Day.

You really got in there with greeble and nurnies, I love it man, turned out great!!

Ooh I shall very much take a look at the videos - lots of nifty tricks await I am sure.
Love the finished piece :+1:
The shared brush is really cool too - already started using it on a thank you Paul picture.

@boozy_floozie Please let me know if you need anything. Looking forward to see the image.

Hey @LikeTheMilkyWay Thank you so much.

thanks @brudva

This tutorial series was fun and informative, the final render is awesome!

@CountQuadula thank you. I was thinking of doing a render pass video flipping through the filters that I used on the blue image. Would that be cool for you to see?

That would be great! I always klook forward to your lessons, there are so many “quick Tips” that you include that are good reminders because ZBrush has so many features and some not so obvious shortcut combos.
The light setup in the TIE tutorial (HDRI vs TIF, reflections, etc.) was also informative.
