make smooth brush stronger?

is there any way to make the smooth brush much much stronger? the hold shift click on the model to smooth things out thing… dont know if its called the smooth brush but i assume it is heh

  1. Change the Z Intensity. Each Transform brush retains its own settings, rather than inheriting them from the last selected brush.

  2. Change the Transform>Modifiers>Smoothing Curve

well the z intensity is already at 100 and the smooth curve is just all the way on top now :P… anything else i can dooo? i want to be able to completely flatten out an area… as though i hadnt done anything to it

If you wanted to edit an area as if you hadn’t done anything to it, my recommendation would have been to store a morph target before you began modeling. You could then use the Morph brush to revert part of the mesh to the stored state.

well i would like to just get rid of an ugly looking line that i made with my own alpha along part of the model… smoothing it doesnt take it out and keep the changes i made with the rest of the alpha… anyway to do that?

What do you mean? What kind of alpha? Did you clear it yet? Maybe your still displacing from your alpha? That may sound stupid, but I haven’t seen Z2 yet AHHHHHHH!

i just mean i was painting with my own custom alpha… and i didnt realize at the time… but the edges of it were jagged like… and i just want to make those disappear cause i used it on the model a while ago

hi tom,

if you have subdivided your mesh…i have found some times that it’s best to go back down a few levels smooth it gone, move to next level…get rid of what is left and if necessary…sometimes a bit is left in the next.
