make polymesh3d removes uv's

Hi

I am wanting to displace a plane. Now, I can do this when I at first import the .obj ( I can assign the texture and see it is mapped, albeit annoyingly flipped) but when I MakePolyMesh3d - and then attempt to apply a displacement - ZBbrush reports it needs UV’s to do so.

The object has UV’s, and indeed, I can make polymesh - export - and then I can see them in Maya.

Anyone have any idea why this annoying problem is happening?

Cheers very much.

MakePolyMesh3d is not needed if you are importing an OBJ - the OBJ is already a polymesh. The main purpose of MakePolyMesh3d is to create a sculptable mesh from a ZBrush primitive.

Many thanks!

Pushing my luck, is there a way to prevent Zbrush from unhelpfully flipping the textures? It would be much handier to see what I am doing in the orientation I made the image (height etc)?

Cheers again!
