the make polymesh3d buttons doesn’t seem to be working. I press it once i create a 3d primitive both before and after I enter edit mode but it doesn’t work anyway. suggestions?
Which version of ZBrush are you using? Have you tried reinstalling? Could you provide a screen shot of your ZBrush interface?
I too am having the same problem. I create a Plane3D and click Make PolyMesh3D and no conversion happens. I have read other posts that say a new plane will show up in the tool menu but this isn’t happening. Funny thing is the Make PolyMesh3D worked just fine a while back until recently. I am using ZBrush 3.5R3. What’s the deal?
Hi,
I downloaded ZBrush 3.5r3 on Friday and am having the same problem - I’m at a loss as to what to do - please help!
when I’m trying to convert zspheres after editing, it wont let me select 'make polymesh 3D button- and if i press shortcut ‘A’ it wont let me do it either -and then if after a frustrating battle it lets me, it deletes my original zspheres and just shows the drawn on bits!
I’ve reinstalled it twice but still have same problems - please help

To skin ZSpheres, please use the Tool>Adaptive Skin>Make Adaptive Skin button.
For me, what solved this issue was making a new project file and starting fresh and then clicking the Make PolyMesh 3D after setting up Initialize with the desired properties of my mesh, ALL BEFORE starting to sculpt and BEFORE placing any sphere or mesh in the canvas. It’s important to setup your mesh before trying to sculpt, otherwise it will cause issues.
