Maintaining hard edges after dividing

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to maintain the hard edges on an object after dividing the mesh several times. I’ve modeled a building and imported it in zBrush, but after dividing all the sharp edges of the building turn into beveled/rounded ones.

This is an excellent feature for organic modeling, but useless for buildings etc. I’m sure there is a work arround here, but where :slight_smile:

Can some one point me in the direction of a solution?

just turn off smt button

tool>geometry>smt turn that off…it is smoothing during a divide.
