I’ve just upgraded my iMAC osX to Mavericks, and ever since, I’m experiencing cursor lag and jumps in zBrush and Photoshop. It’s exceptionally bad in zB tho. Any other MAC-zB users experiencing this? Anyone have a fix? It’s making working in zB extremely frustrating.
Your complaint is not the first.
I hadn’t come across another with this issue. Any ideas what the issues might be or a fix? I opened a discussion on MAC forums as well.
I think it was graphics card/drivers related.
I’ve been using zB with no issues for months until this update. I hope they fix this issue.

Waiting before updating from OSX 10.8.5
Maybe something related to the wacom drivers? Or does it happen with the mouse as well?
Dunno about the mouse. I don’t even use a mouse. I’ll troubleshoot that tho.

Its bound to be a little more helpful and might also be a better place to search… I havent got a mac so I havent a clue otherwise.
I rebooted my computer from Safe Mode. It seemed to fix the issue at first, but after 20 minutes of using zB with no problems, the lag is starting to slowly come back. So unfortunate.
You’re not the only one, but it sounds to me like an issue with Wacom drivers. Drivers can easily be an issue when an OS is newly released. Sometimes they are pretty good at getting them out and running stable but sometimes there are problems that need bug fixes and updates. Sometimes it’s the OS (Apple) and sometimes it’s the manufacturer (Wacom), or even both.
It’s issues that come up like this why it’s important not to upgrade an important work machine to a newly released product. Test on a different machine or backup setup (like virtualization) to make sure your workflow will remain stable. Wait it out and check out reviews and issues that appear often for other users. Sometimes it’s a small change, issue or bug that can cause a lot of downtime in a work force.
Test it out but don’t expect it to immediately be a stable working version without having a quick backup to a previous version if it becomes critical.
Hmm. Ok. I did update the Wacom driver as well, but that solved nothing. That driver was from 10/15/13, however, before this Mavericks update, so perhaps another driver is on it’s way.
You could try turning off Preferences>Performance>MultiDraw to see if that makes a difference.
