Mac & Zbrush 3 Thread

do you have your hall pass? … I don’t mean any harm, and hey it’s still is a free country, at least this morning it was.

It’ll have ZB4, and there will be a little Mac symbol, hidden away in the corner…

Not at all. I just don’t see the sense in being crude.

Impressive artwork, John! Seriously, very nice.

Do you actually work for Stan Winston Studios? If so, you might want to consider that what you say and do - even away from work - also reflects on the company you work for.

hey buddie. sssssshhhh I can say what i want dude. and threats … where are you going with this… he he It is called freedom to say what ever i want when ever i want. I am not being mean. you know what, why don’t you PM me and we can continue the childish behavior. anyway… they would laugh!

Absolutely NOT a threat in anyway, just a fact of life.

People see the way a person acts or talks and they think to themselves, “I don’t think I want to do business with a company that hires people like that.” Happens more often than you might think. I’m just saying, it’s a good idea to be a little more circumspect in what you say on a company-sponsored forum. You never know who’s watching. And besides, it’ll serve you well in the long run.

Apparently you don’t care what other people think, and yes, you’re absolutely free to say and do any blessed thing you please. Ain’t me you’d be hurtin’.

'Nuf said.

what … hello! yep, your right. your the boss. (he’s koo-koo) (a little obsessive but a little more compulsive.) oops! Did I say that?

May be.

But then, I already did my lifetime stint in corporate America. I know from whence I speak.

No offense intended, John.

Truce!

Done deal!

Nothing to call a truce over!

“I see it—coming here—hell-wind—titan blur—black wings—Yog-Sothoth save me—the three-lobed burning eye.…” - back atcha!

Guys, Skullbeast’s comments weren’t that bad, cut him a break.(Made me laugh) He’s just frustrated like the rest of us around here. So to get things back on track, it would be nice, to see some sort of a tease from vapo-logic about Sigragh. Atleast acknowledge we’ll see something then. That wouldn’t be letting the cat out of the bag.

Personally, I’m not even entertaining the notion of an announcement at Sigraph. Not that there wont be, but as far as I’m aware no-one ever gave us the slightest cause to think there would, so if the dates come and go without news there’ll be yet another 1000 posts of MacBluster. I’ve done way too much of that in my younger days hehe! Now where’s my slippers and pipe?

Sav I tend to think that this might be the case, even though deep inside I hope we will get the long awaited release

Surely there’ll be something to show at Siggraph seeing how Pixologic is going to have a 30’ x 30’ space/booth. They will be right next to Autodesk (who will have a 40’ x 40’ space/booth) so I’m sure Mudbox might get some exposure. They’d be kind of silly to showcase Zbrush 3.1 for the PC in such close proximity to the next version of Autodesk’s Mudbox.

we should be happy that mudbox has come back into focus and on people’s ‘radar’ once more as an alternative sculptng package…look what happened when mudbox 1.0 was touting itself around on it’s first release…zb3 arrived!

…siggraph 2008 is our next ‘event’ where we may see and hear about updates and new features…and an OSX version finally!

keep your fingers crossed

I’ll be interested to see if any Mac people go to Siggraph and give the people at the ZBrush booth a hard time. Hopefully it won’t happen because we’ll have some good news  , but there’s enough people frustrated at the silence from Pix, that it’s going to occur to someone that there’s one certain way to ask a question and be sure you’ve got their attention.

If that happens, though, I hope that whoever does it doesn’t end up pissing Pix off so much that they abandon the platform…

I highly doubt they would have such a large presence with nothing to say about this issue. I don’t use a MAC but I am following this because it reflects how a company is likely to handle other issues as they arise.

don;t worry…pixologic won;t be turned away from what they have planned for zbrush;)

That’s the most sensible thing I have heard around here in ages. Very good point!

Yes but that something might be ‘The mac version is in final beta stage and will be ready when its ready. Meanwhile look at all the high profile stuff non mac users have been doing’.

I second that
