Not sure if this has been questioned yet, but is it possible to transfer a Zbrush(mac) file to (PC)Zbrush? If so how would it be done?
Export the highest and lowest levels as OBJ files.
In 3.1, import the low level. Divide it to have the correct number of levels. Then with the highest still selected, import the high level. It will replace the current high level, giving all your details. All other levels will adjust to match, and you’ll now have your original multi-res model on the PC.
could this be done the same way with Zbrush 3.12b. And could this be done using the file as a tool?
I don’t understand your question.
sorry bout that ill try putting it into detail…You mentioned exporting “in 3.1”. can I export (the way you mentioned above) in 3.12b (ZBrush 3.12b upgrade from ZBrush 3.12 Mac OS X)? (The tool part). I’m saving my work as .ZTL
can I load my .ZTL to a pc (from a mac) in ZBrush?
ZTLs from the Mac (3.12/3.12b) are NOT compatible with Zbrush 3.10 on the PC. The best solution (as outlined above) is to import it as .objs (low and high) as Aurick indicated.

Right. I was unsure if ZTLs would be able to do that. Thank you.
