MAC: Old meshes pop up as 2D in 3D edit view

After I’m working for a while, Zbrush tend to pop old geometry in the screen. It is purely a visual bug couse I can’t do anything to it (neither remove it) and it doesn’t show up in my subtools. It doesn’t rotate or scale either while the rest of my scene does.

It is quite anoying couse it can block my view quite a bit. Droping out of edit mode, clearing the document, redrawing my subtools and going back into edit mode will fix the problem, but only temporary, till Zbrush decides its time to pup up another mesh.

Anyone experiencing this? Any known fixes to this?
If nothing, then I’ll open a ticket.

Here is a screenshot, the brown and green things are my active meshes, the yellowish (on the left) one is the 2D pop up.

Could you be pressing Shift+S by mistake? What’s happening is a version of your model is being snapshot to the canvas. You can clear it easily, by pressing Ctrl+N. You might try assigning a different hotkey to the Transform>Snapshot button [camera icon] to see if that helps.

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for your reply. Sadly it is not a Shift-S problem. Here is a screenshot of just a few moments ago, with the same problem. This time I am absolutly sure I didn’t hit Shift-S. I was rotating the object with the tablet-pen, holding only the left alt-button when this poped-up. It seems like some kind of screenbuffer dump, as it is a screen of about 15 minutes ago when I was setting up the subtools.
The colored meshes are the active subtools, while the white meshes are 2D stuff.

Anybody had this before?
