MAC displacement to alpha problem

Hello everyone, I am running ZB3 on a mac pro quad. 4g ram. 10.5.5

Anyway, when I create the displacement map, I see a preview of it in the displacement map window, however it does not show up in the alpha palette to export. Am I missing something here?

Thanks.

Next to the thumbnail in the Tool>Displacement Map menu there is a button to Clone the map. This copies it to the Alpha palette so that it can be exported.

While it may seem like an extra step in your work, please keep in mind that 3.12 allows your models to have multiple textures and displacement maps, on a per-SubTool basis. This is huge, and something that people have been asking for. But that also means that maps have to be moved to and from the Alpha/Texture palettes when you’re exporting and importing.

Thanks Aurick! I figured I was missing something.

I don’t think that makes a bit of difference as far as extra work LOL! It’s only a button right next to the resulting map.

thanks again!
