mac 3.12 uv polygroups dont work?

hey guys, i am running the mac version. 3.12 and I have uv based polygroups set up and I cant seem to get zbrush to recognize them. If I open the windows version it works right away, but not on the mac side. Is this broken? Or was something changed? I hope I am missing something because that would suck if they just didnt work.
