References Gathering
Every 3D modeling process I start with a reference.
Most references are from Google Images, Pinterest, and the Character Design References website.
Block-out
The goal was to create a primitive shape of the 3D model based on the reference and ensure that the proportions are correct.
I made a mistake with the hair shape in this version of the block-out. But as I worked with a base mesh with low subdivisions, it was easy to fix later.
Wireframe
I check the mesh of my primitive model, to make sure I’m not using too many subdivisions initially.
Refinement
After creating the primitive model, I needed to add some additional details to my model to make it look better.
Final
After some corrections and refinements to my model, I was able to get the result I expected. My goal is to apply rigging to pose and then maybe create a little walking animation.
This is the final version, I enjoyed modeling this character.
