.ma format oddity issue

I have been using the .ma format and have never encountered this previously and, as of yet, have not reached a solution to this issue.

As you can see in the attached image two of the objects selected have no shading at all while one (the test object from the GoZ download) has its shading as it should.

All three objects were exported using the .ma format and all three had UVs, Texture map appliied along with Displacement and Normals. All using the same workflow between ZBrush 3.5 R3 and Maya 2009

Anyone else encountered this?
