Lost subdivision after saving while in Transpose master

Anyone who has a suggestion would be a big help. I was working on a multi-subtool sculpt. I went into Transpose master to make some global adjustments to the pose. I made the mistake of saving the file while in TPose mesh mode and now can’t get the sculpt to un-transpose. I have a version of the file a few saves back that still has all the subtools in it. Is there any way to recreate the layers or transfer my new global pose edits into/onto the version that still has all the subtools?

I’ve tried bringing in the fused sculpt, breaking it apart, and then tried Project All to transfer the data onto the “posed” layer. It only works if the layer is exactly in the same spot. When I made the global pose changes in TP master, I squished and sized some things. I now get errors or seams when I try to Project All/copy the data to the reposed subtool.

Someone suggested taking the model with all the subtools that is posed and “stuck” in TP low res mode and save it out as an .obj. Then take the model with all the subtools still in it but not the final pose and open that one and enter into TPosemesh mode. While in that mode, import the .obj of the pose, then tpose-subt back out… That really messed things up.

I would think I could do it one subtool at a time by transferring the hr data to the lr posed subtool but since their shape doesn’t perfectly match, it is not working.

Anyone with any kind of suggestion would be a great help and life saver!!!

  1. Load the combined version of your model that has no subtools and that you have posed.
  2. Export using the Tool>Export button and make sure to save as a “GoZ Complete Binary” file that you can select from the file type dropdown in the Save As dialog.
  3. Load the version of your model that has all the subtools.
  4. Press the Transpose Master> TPoseMesh button. This will create a new combined mesh that is linked to the orginal model.
  5. Press Tool>Import and select the GoZ file you saved at (2). This will pose the new combined mesh.
  6. [Optional] Turn on the Transpose Master>Layer button if you want a new layer to be created for each subtool pose.
  7. Press the Transpose Master> TPose>SubT button. This will transfer the pose to your original model.

If this still gives you problems then upload the posed mesh and the original model somewhere and I’ll take a look.

Note: you should always save the project file (ZPR) when using Transpose master. This will save both the combined mesh and your original model, as well as the link between them.
