Help! I spent many hours on a sculpt and then saved it and the document for the polypaint of the sculpt. I then closed the program. When I reopened the sculpt, my model was stuck on the highest subdivision and there were no other lower subdivisions. I am very new to Zbrush so I am hoping that I am just missing something simple to get my lower subdivisions back.
Hey there,
well you must have done something else to the model than just saving and loading. Saving would never delete your subdivisions. Maybe you have merged Subtools with different SubDiv levels?
Anyway go to the Tool shelf on the right hand side/Geometry Tab and hit reconstrust Subdiv. That should do the trick. You have got to do it for each Subdiv level though, meaning if you had 5 Subdiv’s before, you need to press that button 4 times
Hope that helps
Hello dsoellbuster,
Thank you very much for your reply. I did use transform master to pose this model. Could that have deleted my subdivisions? I don’t have any subtools on this sculpt. Thanks for the advice. It worked! I actually tried the reconstruct suvdiv button, but only clicked it once. I didn’t look like anything happened (I didn’t think to look at the poly count) so I figured that it didn’t work. When I clicked on the button five times, my six subdivisions were back! Thanks again

Hey latrec61,
using Transpose Master couldn’t have caused the loss of your SubDiv levels either. But so what? You’ve got your SubDivs back and your Z world is in order once again
Glad i could help!
