I’ve just recently finally seriously gotten into 3d. I’ve spent about 2 weeks working in 3ds Max, learning as much as I can learn, which has been alot. I’m using Max 2009, and I also picked up Zbrush 3 and I’ve completed a human head mesh I’d like to bring into Zbrush to detail and skin, but I have a few questions about the process.
- I’ve created my mesh in Max, and export it as an .OBJ to get it into Zbrush. However should it be an unsmoothed or smoothed mesh before importing?
2)When working in Zbrush, there are different detail levels, but I’m not sure which you should work on for details.
For example, I want to go in and add wrinkles/depth to a face, should I be in the lowest Sub-D level or the Top level?
- How do I go about taking that high-detail mesh back into Max for hair/fur/rendering etc…
