Hi what´s up´. My name is Markus, I´m from Germany and I started using Zbrush 3 a few weeks ago without having bigger problems. I´m looking for a way to make realistic hair. Snakehook and Fiberbrush didn´t get me further so if anybody knows a tutorial about creating realistic hair or has any suggestions, I´d be pleased…
There are many different approaches, depending on what style of hair you’re trying to get.
I’ve seen people use Extract to mask a skullcap and then convert that to a hair subtool which they then sculpt.
Other times someone might use a primitive, cut away the parts they don’t need, and sculpt the rest.
Or maybe ZSpheres to create locks, which are sculpted, appended as subtools, and then reshaped to style.
Or maybe using an alpha of many dots, which is skinned and then stretched to create a lock. That lock is then appended as subtools and TransPosed to style.
Try using ZBC’s search feature for the term “hairs”. You’ll get a lot of possibilities and ideas.
Thanx I´ll check that out…
