Local Subdivsion problem

After applying Local Subdivision technique, the tool vanished. Is the Tool corrupted or is this a new bug?

It would help if you gave some details about the model – especially including screen shots of the model’s topology so we could identify if there are problem areas. Off hand, though, the first thing I’d check would be the scale of the model. How does it compare to the size of the Tool>Preview window? If it’s way too big for that window (or tiny within it) then your model is too far out of scale for ZBrush to work well with it.

If you’re not needing to keep scale consistent relative to another program, the easiest solution is just to press Tool>Deformation>Unify, instantly converting the object to 1 ZBrush unit in size.

I was going through old files, throwing away stuff, but I wanted to keep this one, a nude study. Started in 3.5, it is lacking some of the original lower subdivisions. For a good while, when I was learning how to push the pixols, my computer didn’t have the power to take things where I wanted to go, so I deleted some of them in order to further divide the model. Unify has no effect on the size. Here’s a screen capture showing the figure and the Preview window:

Thanks for your help,
