Has anyone tried loading their custom UI from 4R3 into 4R4? Also, what about loading keyboard shortcuts? I remember there being problems doing this with 4R2b>4R3. Thanks, Mitch
You can load keyboard shortcuts OK. I suggest you use the Preferences>Hotkeys>Load button to load the old hotkeys then press the Hotkeys>Store button to store them as the default set.
For the custom UI you will need to remake it in order to avoid issues with previous configurations.
I was afraid of that. One of the down sides of having a fancy custom UI is you have to re-do it every time a new update comes out.
On the plus side there are a lot of goodies on these forums with custom buttons. Search for custom UI. Or maybe .cfg.
It shouldn’t need doing every time but for the 4R4 P2 update there are some major fixes which may be compromised with earlier CFG files.
I’ve tried it, and had only a few issues like missing brushes and such.
Just move/copy your r3 stuff to r4.
Regardless of the success, however, I had to redo everything due to UI problems like button zones not reacting properly.
Back-up your Zbrush folders prior to doing migration to be safe.
