Lizard

Hi, Im new to Zbrush. I modelled this lizard in ZBrush2 from zspheres. I modelled the bulk of it in a few hours yesterday and i added details such as the scales and underbelly today. I know the toes look bad but thats because i didnt use zspheres to make the toes, i just pulled them out of the mesh. I will keep that in mind next time I model. Its really the first time I used zspheres for a whole body and not just a head. Im going to try to color it and give it a nice material, but whats the point of doing that when i dont know how to properly render in zbrush. i was thinking of taking it back to max with a displacement map, but i forgot to keep a morph target.

Nice start. For the leg if you keep pullign from the base model, the toe and such won’t get the high enough detail (am I corect?) perhaps you can also increase the mesh resolution (partially only around wher you want to build the toe and such) bu partially hide otehr parts and do tthe edgeloop for the area needing higher res for scultping. However, it’s a great model. Keep posting

well the leg is made from the zspheres, but only the toes are pulled out.

thanks.

you can add edgeloops to the toes and creative use of creased edges should help ya out with them.

you can hold the ctrl key while hovering your mouse over the edgeloop and crease buttons in the geometry menu for more info on how to use them.

good start!
