What I am curious about - is why you don’t do the displacement and bump together as displacement?

That is how I would do and do all projects. If you feel the need to have a bump for something that is fine. However the displacement can be used in as bump for working and then switch to displacement for rendering.

I stopped using bump years ago, but then I use REYES style renderers and they seem to handle this information extremely well. I would put all the necessary detail on NURBS models this way and saved a lot of time. Similar to many processes people have posted recently (Taron). :smiley:
