"List All Subtools" panel is not working.

I recently learned of this panel from a tutorial – apparently hitting the N key activates the List All button in the Subtool palette, which gives you a very convenient on-demand list of your subtools at your cursor location.

However, when I try to do it, either by hitting N or by clicking the List All button directly, nothing happens. Occasionally I can see a flicker of the panel appearing before it immediately disappears, but most of the time nothing appears at all.

This is the only aspect of the interface that appears to be misbehaving; all other panels, palettes, etc. are working normally.

Any idea what could cause this? Is it just a weird obscure bug, and is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks.

That’s very strange, I don’t remember hearing of this before. What operating sytem are you using?

Version of ZBrush including any patches(P1, P2, P3) would be useful as well

That hotkey is in the Shortcuts list on the Pixologic site. Doesn’t work for me either though.
Click the link below and then scroll down to section 6.1 Subtools.

I wonder what tutorial the OP was watching? Maybe it was for an older version of ZBrush?

“N” works here on Windows 7 Home Premium (ZBrush 4R7 P3)

Ok, last night I loaded in a sphere and a cube and it didn’t work. Tonight, I tried again, but this time I loaded in a cube, a sphere and a cylinder and it works. So I guess it only works if you have 3 or more subtools. If you only have 2 subtools it doesn’t work.

By the way, I’m running 4R7 P3 on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Confirmed, same results, minimum of 3 Subtools to display.

Completely forgot I posted this thread… thank you all for the replies.

This was my problem exactly – I had only two subtools. Didn’t realize they had that kind of limitation on it. Thank you for figuring this out.
