Linking two ZSpheres together

If I draw a ZSphere on the canvas then start making two zsphere chains (using symmetry) is there any way of linking two of the spheres in opposite chains without retopoing the adaptive skin ? and linking that way ?
It’d be quite handy for some of the things I make to be able to do that.

Frank

You can’t and yeah you are right it would be nice to have that feature. As well as copying and pasting zsphere chains.

Oh well, it would have been nice. Lets hope it appears in a future version

Yes, I’ve also wanted to be able to do this. It would be a great feature to have in the future.

It depends what you want to do with the resulting mesh but you can use Unified Skin to do this.

Interesting. I don’t know if it would do what I want but it’s worth a play.

What I’d really like to do is be able to make “Bridges” between chains of ZSpheres. I suppose I could always use subtool master to merge all the subtools (the chains and the links) into one and then skin it - assuming you can merge subtools made up of ZSphere chains that is

Thank you, I didn’t know that and it can come in handy.

I don’t like how the quads line up on the unified skin, but at least it can be done.

Although It would still be cool for the adaptive skin to do the same thing in my opinion.
