Lighting your model for Zapplink/Photoshop texturing?

I’m wondering… since I’ve never used Zapplink before, if anyone has any tips on how to light your model, and what kind of shaders to use. I’m starting to create human skin on a model using Zapplink… should I use a flat shader with no specularity? Is it o.k. to use the default lighting with 1 light source or is it better to use more lights?

how you light your model isn’t a factor, it’s all based on personal preference. The thing you want to do is create an image that has little to no lighting data in the actual diffuse map that you’re creating. (granted, that is assuming you’re going to have a lighting engine of some type do the lighting for you.)
