Hey peeps, To place a texture or alpha from the Lightbox into the main palette you have to hold shift and double click. However holding shift also selects the smooth brush. I did some searching for a solution and I found you can either come out of edit mode and go back in or select the brush you actually want and re-apply the desired texture/alpha from its own menu. Is there a better/easier/quicker way to transfer items across? Thanks for your help
I updated to R3 and noticed it no longer has the above mentioned problem. Im having a few other difficulties I would greatly appreciate some help with:
-
How do I now transfer textures and make spotlight appear?

I am working on a 1360 x 768 tv is there any way i can alter zbrushes options to stop this cropping happening? pic attatched. I prefer using the default layout as that is the one I am used to.
Thanks for all your help.
1) Select your desired texture in the Texture palette and then press the Texutre>Add to SpotLight button.
- The problem is entirely due to the small display resolution. All you can do is collapse the right Tray by clicking the divider bar between it and the Shelf. You can always expand it again later.
Hello, thank you so much for the reply, closing the tray lets me access all the lightbox menus now. If anyone else has the same problem In the preferences i made the buttons the smallest which lets me get down to the “ghost transparency” button, is that the last button there?
I apologize for my noobishness but i cant find the add to spotlight button you mentioned, Ive taken a screen grab:
Thanks again for your help
You’re looking at the Texture pop-up window. I said the Texture palette.

Ah ha! Excellent thank you.
Out of interest: What is the spotlight tab inside light box for?

Create a folder in your ZBrush 4R3 installation called ZSpotlights. Now you can save any SpotLight configuration into it (using Texture>Save SpotLight). From there, you can browser your saved SpotLights using LightBox.
Thanks again Aurick
Guys…sorry but I spend about 3 hours to find it. That’s so tricky to do …Like ‘secret’ in zbrush game…
