Lightbox Question - Spotlight folder? (answered)

Hi!

Where on the hard-drive should I save my custom Spotlights so that they show up under the ‘Spotlight’ palette in the Lightbox strip?

Thanks,

~S.~

Yes, I was wondering that myself. With Spotlight selected in Lightbox you would think that you would be able to create a new folder like you can in all the other categories in Lightbox, but instead all you get is an error message. We won’t mention the grammar …nudge, nudge, wink wink, say no more!

Here is the solution to this problem.

  1. Load the textures you want into Spotlight via the Texture palette.

  2. Click the ‘Save Spotlight’ button in the Texture palette.

  3. When the save file window opens, navigate to the ZBrush 4.0 main folder and double click on it to open it. You now have to create a new sub folder and name it ZSpotlights exactly. Name the spotlight file you want to save and save it in that sub folder. As soon as you do that, Lightbox will open. Then you click on the Spotlight catagory and watch your file appear. Now you can create new folders with the ‘New Folder’ button in the Spotlight catagory.

Wow, that’s fantastic. Thanks so much explaining how to set this up.

Your welcome Nancyan! Glad I could help.

Thanks, Zber!
