Lightbox help (answered)

I’ve just started useing Zbrush4 a few month ago, and gotten to the point i want to use Lightbox. The problem is that the projected image is way blurrier than the original. The original is high res.
How do i make it not blurry?

thanks

I suspect that you don’t have quite enough polygons for the resolution that you’re looking for.

When using SpotLight you are painting the model’s points. If the surface you’re painting onto has fewer points than the texture you’re copying from, resolution will be lost.

Add another subdivision level and see if that helps. If your model is already pushing the limits of what your computer can handle, split it into multiple SubTools or use HD levels.

Thank you, it was the low subdivision!

My biggest problem is that there is no tutorial from start to finish.

Like making a model in Zbrush - applying diffuse with lightbox (+normals) - then exporting the textures - then importing to 3ds max - then applying the textures/normals or displacements!!

Lightbox is new so all i could find is “How to pant on surfaces in Lightbox” but its extreemly frustrateing that no one EVER finishes a whole project, thus i have to collect info from 50 vids, maybe someon finishes a project…

thanks,
Zenith

I think you mean SpotLight and not LightBox.
