Life and death WARNING!! new disturbing image!

Wow ! I love it Monstermaker. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Now this is a great afternoon treat. The outside of the womb in it’s abstract form seems to be surrounded by nightmarish evil distorted faces…very kewl enhancement. I had the last one up as wallpaper on the pc now I have to update it with this one. The image is dark, foreboding, wet, realistic and the Life and Death title definitely fits the image truly in this form. How many layers did you work with in Z for this rendering? I did some images a few years ago dealing with anti abortion stuff and I wish I could have gotten these results you have achieved with your model. :+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

I like that fleshyness of the left side of the image, just outside of the sack. Definitely an image with alot of edge to it.

Always looking forward to more, MM. They have said that cigarettes are more addictive than heroine…I think Zbrush has replaced that order of addictions.

Great image(s) ,Monstermaker…that last one is super…i’ve alway’s wanted to do such an image…perhaps when i finish my “island” render i give it a try …hope i can make it as good as you :+1: :+1:

jantim

Love the texturing… I will be glad when i figure out how to texture “well” in ZB2

5 stars, if I could give 'em.

You nailed this one too!

I like the sereneness inside and the sense of chaos outside, for me it almost has movement, like the moment before he or she is to burst forth a greet the world! I love the texturing and colors in this one as well.

Very cool study so far!!

Hi again ,I worked on this a bit more last night and brought out the nightmarish evil distorted faces ,as Ron called them, in the fleshie junk. Not sure if I like this better or not. What do you think?
mm fetus plus low rz.jpg

Pilou

Yes, I think it’s more interesting now, with that skull. :+1:

Yeppers, you brought this even more to life with the update. As I have looked over this for the past 30 minutes, it has been like playing a game of sorts trying to find all the skulls. Very kewl use of them. Question time…lol…

Are we looking at this as you would look down from above, like looking at a map?

The skulls seem to possibly be forming maybe a birthing canal of sorts. Possibly something vaginal?

The reason I asked about the viewing location was due to the blood pooling in the baby’s bottom and it’s feet. (very super nice touch I love about the fetus)

I don’t know what layer the fetus is on, but if it’s still accessible, maybe some more slight pooling/bruising of the bottom of the fetus’s head. Just a miniscule suggestion, because I am loving this image.

One other question. The skull on the left…How did you achieve that wonderful material on it’s forehead? Besides the fetus, my eyes are directly drawn to that particular part of the image.

Loving it.

Fantastic work!! Fantastic!:+1: :+1: :+1:

Hi Monstermaker, that is a beautifully modeled embryo. A strange mix of themes,…are you sleeping okay? 50.

Last one even better…great colors…is it paintwork or more a grouping of 3D forms ? :+1: :+1:

jantim

Hi everyone, thanks for your response, I’ll try to answer some of the questions.

Jantim, the last one is paintwork over the previous image. cloning, shading some ps liquify

50"s kid, I NEVER SLEEP!

mecman,thanks for your no words

Ron, I think you are looking at this for too long and too hard, but I appreciate you seeing all that I put into it and more. I like to put a lot of little hidden things into my work for people who really look at it. My previous thread, I’ve forgotten what I called it, had lots of skulls and wierd images peppered throughout it.
As far as the material on the skull on the the left, I 'm not totally sure if I remember but it was something like this: on a 3d plane object I used some random photo of something as a texture, I distorted the plane with zadd and zsub played with the specularity and reflection of the material using another random photo as a reflection map , moving everything around until I got something that I liked, I think I also used some colored fog with a texture as well, adjusted the contrast and color levels. rendered that and exported that, and did the same thing over again now with the rendered image as the texture. I know this probably doesn’t make any sense but it was something like that. In others words I don’t know how I did it I just play around with all kinds of stuff. I also did some ps post stuff.

Slosh why couldn’t you give me five stars?

Jantim, I want to live on your island

Jotajota, I have no idea what you are saying but I like your work

Dizzy boy, sorry I actually like kids, with a little katchup and mustard.

Anybody else whoI havent mentioned I’m tired of typing and if you are actually reading this you need to get a life.

MM: That last image is amazing. I love all the different textures you used. Adding the faces into it really made the difference. Excellent as always…

Dickie

Dickie, Thanks I forgot to mention that I used your skin material. I like it thanks
mm

MM, lol you are right…looked way too deep. Still love the image. I understood what you meant by photo texturing…and I have some ideas thanks to your inspiration on this piece to try out. I haven’t done many scenes and have stuck straight forward with just portrait bust type images. Maybe I can add some sparks of life to my own stuff now. Very kewl process you are takng us on. I truly appreciate the time you have taken to explain some of this. Now it’s back to the almighty Z2.
thankyou

Ron:)
