Rigged Blanka in 3ds max using CAT rig and bones pro

nice work on the models and catrig.
will you show animation too?

grtz p

@Patpotlood: Thanks man. I’m not planning on animating it, I just use 3ds max to pose the character and then send it back to zbrush. My main hope for zbrush 5 is that they implement some kind of ik rigging system.

So here is a quick update on Blanka. I changed the pose as I didn’t feel that the other one was working that well.

And another little update

Good!!

@Ivanperezayala: Cheers man. I really like your wolverine.

Here’s a little update on the hair. its been driving me mad but its been a lot of fun also

Pretty sure this will end up awesome. And the hair, sweet jesus(!), that’s awesome.

He has a lot of energy in his face. And yes, the hair is pretty wild.

What made him so angry? : D

Great work as usual!

Cheers guys.
Here’s a quick update. Hope I can get this done in time!

So here’s the finished renders. I ran out of time and didn’t get to finish the shorts and belt. I rendered separate passes in zbrush and comped them in photoshop.
I’ll be putting together a quick render breakdown on my blog over the next few days for anyone who’s interested so keep checking it for updates. http://leohaslam.blogspot.co.uk/

Hey everyone.
As promised here is the tutorial on my render process.

I hope you guys find this useful. I forgot to mention zaliti in this video. Here is the link to his sketchbook http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?168398-Zafati-sketcbook/page3. This is where I discovered quadshaders.
Also I have just started up a blog so please head over and have a look. There isn’t much content at the moment but that will soon change so keep checking back for updates!

This is awesome. Great character and thanks so much for the in-depth tutorial on materials, lighting, Rendering, and use of PS been looking for something like this for a long while now.

Love that your sketchbook thread is showing a the progression of your work from years ago until now, too. Helps others know that it is possible to get even better with time and practice. You have really got some talent and honed your skills a lot over the years you have been ZBrushing.

Great job and art work! I personally hope this gets top row!
