Learning ZBrush

Hi guys, this is Andrew Yoon, and I just recently (today) purchased Zbrush. This looks like an undeniably awesome program, but I’m wondering how I should go about learning it. I want to be able to sculpt like the stuff on this forum. I have about 2 years of previous experience in 3D graphics, mainly in 3ds. I haven’t touched organics much, but I’m hoping that this will be my way of learning it. I’ve gone through all the ZClassroom tutorials, and have a relatively good idea of how to work this, but I’m lacking in theory. I’m wondering: How did you learn Zbrush? How did you learn organic sculpting? How would you recommend someone of my knowledge go about learning how to sculpt in Zbrush?

Any help is sincerely appreciated!

Hello Andrew
I’m learning myself as well so I can understand that you’re overwhelmed with all the features.

Is a nice first stop. Especially meats meier DVDs. At least for me they are the best tutorial DVDs you can ever find.

Is a nice first stop. It has lots of training videos on how to sculpt figures. Take a look on the zack petroc ones. They are fantastic.

Aside from that check a lot of the time lapse videos in this forum. They can be quite informative once you know what these people actually do.

Hope this helps.
