Hi i am looking for the best way to learn zbrush that won’t cost me to much money , at the moment the best I have been offered is tutoring from America at 75$ an hour I think it’s too expensive , I’m a stone sculptor in Ireland and there is nowhere here to learn zbrush , to see my work and have look at www.barrywrafterfineart.com
digital tutors, gnomon workshop, Zclassroom.
Zbrush (or any software really) is just a tool. Most people require training for learning how to sculpt. Not use the tool. If you’re coming from a traditional background you already have like 90% of what you need. You can think of Digital sculpting as a different medium, and that’s it.
Hell, I’m feeling nice so I’ll do it for free…but I will giggle every time you talk, just so you know.
Shoot me an IM and we can set up a time to chit chat and talk about what you actually need to use Zbrush for and the best approach to get you there. $75 an hour! HA.
You can get quite far just by reading the Zbrush documentation fully, and putting the time into practice and familiarizing yourself with the program. Go to the Zbrush classroom on the Pixologic site, and watch all the videos there. Since you’re already a sculptor, it’s just a manner of learning the interface, technical aspects, and which tools work best for what you want to do. Do a bit of googling, you’ll find lots of you tube tutorials and things of that nature. All free.
Beyond that, places like Digital Tutors and Gnomon offer paid training videos.
Hi beta channel.
as I said I’m new to this , what do you mean " shoot me an IM " I presume it’s a message , if you want to make contact with me all my details are on my website , you could email me .
Im im looking to digitally sculpt scale models for large stone sculptures , and to superimpose my designs for sculptures on site for sculpture competitions and to figure out how figures will interact with each other in 3D space for figurative sculptures , I can also send the 3D digital models to fabricators for my designs whether they are in stone , metal or resin and so on
many thanks for your time and getting back to me .
