Layers grayed out...

Hi All,

I’m still a bit new to ZBrush, and I’m a bit confused about the layers.

I used layers on an object,and it was working out fine. But when I saved the tool and re-loaded it later the layers were grayed out. They are still there, but they have reverted to the old default layer names, instead of the names I gave them, and they are grayed out.

Can anyone tell me why this would happen?

You are currently on a different sub d level then the one you have your layers on. Use the slider for your sub d levels until you find the level that has your saved layers active.
