layers activating an undesired mask

Hello

I 've got a problem. At the start of a model I have created a mask (store it in the alpha to use it) for use with deformation.
Now At every time I change of 3d layer, create a new one, this mask is active (moreover to work with it I had disconnect the view mask so I just see the problem after). I just wanted to use this mask once and now it really make me lost many times.
I surely have done a bad manipulation, can anyone know how to stop this “option” ?

If you mouse over the layer the pop-up info will most likely show you Shape and Mask as being active. Simply press the Split button beneath the layer list. This will break the Shape layer off on its own and you can then delete the Mask layer.
