Layer 'Rec' button is stubborn

Why, oh why does it sometimes take five clicks to turn off layer recording mode??

It’s like I always have to ask “How many clicks does it take to get to the record off mode?”

I cannot deduce any set of conditions that are making this happen; is it a bug?

Should be one click, on, one click, off. No?

Using ZB4, can’t remember if it happened in the last version or not. It happens on every computer I work on, every ztool, etc, so it’s not specific to one project. Maybe it has to do w/ something in my workflow (which, is pretty standard)

Anybody else experienced this?

thanks

To turn layer recording on, you have to click on the small dot icon, but to turn it off, you can click anywhere on the slider and it only takes one click to turn it off doing it that way.

Edit: Click on the layer name and not the actual slider in case you accidently move it.

The problem is that the clickable area on that icon doesn’t cover the whole icon when it is in the ‘on’ state. It does however, cover the whole icon if it is in the ‘off’ state, and, can be turned on easily. If your cursor is in the middle of the icon, it will turn off with one click, but if your clicking on the edge of the icon, it can take several attempts to turn it off. Pixologic should have made the clickable area to cover the whole icon and not just a portion of it.
