Hi everyone,
recently I stumbled upon a weird error when working with layers. When distorting a mesh like the basic dog ztool on sbd1 in a layer to really long distances between vertices from the original size, then on stopping the “record layer”, vertices would collapse back onto the model. It is not exactly a hard frame that they would get all stuck at as it seems to do something akin to 3DS Max set flow by averaging the points.
The solution that I found to that was to unify or generally scale down the distorted model and the distortions would persist even after switching off recording.
Generally I don’t use layers apart from this one instance of an experiment I was trying and needing to scale down all the other layers on the object to match the same size is rather disappointing.
Could anyone please tell me wherever there is a spatial limit to how far vertices can be stretched out on a single object in layer recording, or if it is a bug with layer recording? Thanks
Regards,
