When I draw a line using the layer brush and the mouse then I end up with a nice ‘band’ with constant width and thickness.
Now I try to do the same thing with the mouse just with a variable width but constant thickness.
How can I achieve this without having the pen pressure control the thickness. I already fiddled with the brush and the tablet pref settings…

Hi Lemo,
Set the Preferences>Tablet>Z Sensitivity to 0. That should disable the tablet input and depth is set through Z Intensity. To get constant depth when strokes overlap, store a morph target first.

In PM, if you hold Ctrl while drawing, then switch to the Gyro (Move, Scale or Rotate) then back to Draw, the depth will be evened out.
