I noticed this a couple of days ago but got busy with work and forgot to respond to it.
I think its very interesting and highly suggestive, much like a Georgia O’ Keef painting.
Are you going to color it?

Hey MealeaYing

Thanks for the reply.

The silhouette definitely has some resembles to a Georgia O’ Keef painting.

But I got this silhouette using a symmetry drawing software called Alchemy.

The following explains how I got to this silhouette:

Alchemy_to-zbrush_sculpt_.jpg

I used Alchemy to do a random symmetry sketch then used it ans the inspiration for a sculpt using Dynamesh.

Then I did some liquifying and warping in Photoshop to explore the forms a bit further.

From there I went forward with the sculpt.

The sculpt still needs some work to really get the silhouette to where I want it, before I add any colour.

This is one of the first times I have used this process to develop a sculpt, so it would be interesting to get some feedback if anyone has some insights on this kind of work flow.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Another concept in progress.

Just having so much fun concept sculpting.

C & C welcomed.

Thanks

great sculpts here. Thanks for showing your process. I could see how starting from a abstract shapes could lead to some creative new directions.

These are also very interesting and very very good, and as Doggy 7 said thanks for showing how you are doing it.
Also thank you for Alchemy, its crazy and fun and strange all at the same time!

Cheers!
Mealea

I’m glad my process is of interest and useful to you guys.

Thanks MealeaYing and Doggy 7 for the input and feedback.

Here is a small update of my current sculpt.

A little bit more development on this sculpt.

C & C welcomed.

The beginnings of another concept…

No reference, just having fun. Need to tighten up the anatomy, just thought I’d share.

ZBrush-Document.jpg

Face and anatomy still needs some work and went a bit crazy with the wrinkles, but still having fun.

Any other advice on how to develop this sculpt further would be great.

Thanks

Nice work .

Hey rwilliamr

Thanks for the comment. I am playing around with workflows for creating different silhouettes and get some good looking anatomy.

I will share when I have something to show off.

Also thanks to 023750260iRock for your positive comment.
