Brand isn’t so important as hardware. Take a look at the minimum and recommended system specs found in the FAQ>General section here at ZBC. The closer you get to the recommended specs, the happier you will be regardless of brand.

That having been said, some manufacturers are easier or better to work with than others. Check out www.resellerratings.com for a great site where customers rate their experiences with various manufacturers. Some well-known names have pretty significant horror stories (and I know from experience that the ratings prove to be pretty accurate).

Alienware is cool if you good enough money to spend… same with Mac really… you pay for the image and looks…

I only use my laptop for small schoolwork btw… the heavy duty laptops are very expensive and not really portable. So i would always choose to buy a PC for that

I’m using new Alienware Aurora m7700 with Athlon 64 X2 4800+,GeForce 7800 GTX Go and 2 GB of RAM onboard. I’m VERY satisfied with it. It’s very reliable, fast and fun to work with. I definetly recommend Alienware’s equipment. And it’s cheap comparing to manufacturers such as HyperSonic, SavRow or VoodooPC. Not mentioning you can even have Athlon 64 FX60 in your laptop now. Bottomline is: if you have some money to spend and you care for quality and performance, Alienware is the way to go. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
