Finally had some free time so I started this character as a demo for my class. I eventually wanna pose render and test out shave and a hair cut with him just for fun, once i get him resurfaced and detailed that is. His name is Lang Spear, Medieval kidnapper and into general thuggery. He has the IQ of a turnip all be it a very smart turnip! He also has a buddy I would like to add to the scene as well as a victim. Time permitting, Stupid work!

Jeez, what can be said? You’re the best. That is simply stupendous. Great model, great expression, great clothing. (BTW Is that a pickle in his pocket or is he just happy to see me? :wink: )

What a great sculpt! I love the patterns on the clothing. It’s a very original concept and a skilled execution. Can’t wait to see where this goes!

gunna try to make his hair all matted and greasy cant wait to see where he goes too Midost!. hopefully in a couple of weeks ill have some more time to invest in him.

Looks SWEET, that is one bad ass model. There are only a few things that stand out to me. First off, if he is a thug of sorts I would think that he would have some scars. He’s bound to get into some kind of brawl doing all that dirty work, even though he may run away from most of it. But since he is such a ladies man the scars would have to be strategically placed. Also, his pants are have been through the ringer, but his vest is so pretty?

I hear you have a training DVD coming out through Gnomon that is suppose to be out of this world. I would love some more info on it. What is it about, when does it come out, how would one go about buying it?

Great crit and ideas Josh you are totally right! Hopefully i’ll be able to work on him a little this weekend and institute some of those ideas! Good to have some fresh eyes on it.

As for the Gnomon DVD it is going to be an intro to character modeling and sculpting DVD. Concentrating on blocking out the character setting up references and taking it the model/sculpt up to the resurfacing stage. here is a quick glimpse of the character in the DVD. Very nice work! hot girls in tight outfits encrusted with weapons, can’t go wrong! Face reminds me strongly of another artwork I remember seeing (not sure where , possibly an old pinup or something) . If I were to suggest any changes, the hands seem small to me, and the cranium too big (or she’s wearing a bumpit:D)

Also, Dirk Diggler’s long lost brother is great as well – hope you move him further!
