It has been about 6 years since I did any real-time projects and decided it was time to try again, and to start learning Substance painter in the process. I still have a lot to work on, and get better at, in the future. I’m going to love Substance once I get proficient at it.

Vivi was one of my very first character attempts way, way back in 2003 when I used to model everything in Maya. I found an old picture the other day and decided to see exactly how much I have changed since then.

Over the last eight weeks I have been learning how to surface characters for film. I have gained a lot of knowledge and I look forward to pushing what I have learned with Substance Painter and rendering in Arnold with each new project going forward.
