Very cool creature!

Hey, I just realised how young he is! It would be fun to see the rest of the family.
Alan
ps I forgot the tongueincheek icon in my google post. I wasn’t really going to research that lot. Still, there’s a whole world of Kronkdom out there I never knew about.
I seem to remember the "G"ronk from 2000AD comic. But he was not like your fellow.
ahahah very cute ArtBoy
funny looking little bugger
Before posing a ZSphere figure, you should (while the ZSpheres are visible) store the base pose as a morph target. This prevents ZBrush from recalculating a new mesh every time you activate the preview, eliminating the possibility that the points will change.
Super Awesome !!!
The poses are looking cool…Love the “put up your dukes” Pose. The rope one is cool too…

This is cool work artboy! I like your progress on him, and kudos for going the extra mile and posing him!
I have and idea. I thought that Pixolator designed zspheres to be able to have a displacement map applied to them to alter the posed Zsphere object. The only problem I can see with this is if the AUVtile layouts change. But it might be worth experimenting, just to see how it works.
Keep us posted!
Thank you everyone!
angstrom: yeah that would be cool to do a whole family, but i think i might try something new next. there is so much to experiment with Z2. it is just loads of fun!
Qn, Fouad B., Aztec, ZB_Artist, Dickie : thanks for the feedback, every little word is greatly appreciated. thanks for takign the time to comment.
aurick: yes, i did click that button and everything seemed to be going fine. but when i moved certain main zspheres like the root sphere a section of the mesh went smooth (not the entire model, just a part. it was weird.) i really love the pose to pose feature though. it allows for so many possibilities especially for those of us who know nothing about rigging and bones (i think that is what it is called).
wchamlet: yeah that sounds interesting. i have to admit that i don’t know much about displacement maps and AUVtiles. I haven’t really tried doing low-poly stuff and the using displacement maps because i don’t really have a need to keep things low-poly. maybe i will get into some animation sometime. any suggestions on good programs to start off with? maybe even freebies?

Terrific work artboy!!
Really a great character. Just love it!
Looking forward to see it textured (as the other guys ;))…
cheers
marc
Hi Artboy
The Zsheres show a kangourou and the result is amazing
Very natural poses
Pilou
Artboy
U were better and better
I like your modelling more and more…
very cool Artboy!! Like that pose with the rope. Look forward to some texturing of this little fella and can see the adventures of Kronk 3d cartoon already
like frame one of the “dukes up” one
frame two you see him and then just the knees down of the other guy and kronk just looks at us like…“what was I thinking?”
Thanks aminuts, marc, Frenchy, and Abyssis!
yes, i am getting the hang of modeling but texturing is a whole other story. maybe i will give it a try. I am going to try some more poses as well.
artboy
here is another pose of Kronk. my old computer has trouble when dealing with a high res mesh like this and moving it around alot, but i was able to manage this one without Z2 crashing. time to get a new computer!
enjoy!
artboy
Is it possible to pose him looking down at the hulahoop (?) he appears to be trashing.
You know, there really is a story here trying to get out!
Alan.
yeah, angstrom, now that i think about it, i don’t know why i don’t have him looking down. i should have done that. i forgot to mark the positions on the hoop and Kornk, so i dont feel like messing with it right now.
but here is another pose. Kronk running (slowly) whil carrying a torch. obviously there is no flame, but i will try to add that later. anyone know how to do good flames in Zbrush? otherwise i will try it in photoshop. if you would like to see a better picture of just the torch i can post it, just let me know.
hopefully i m not boring you with this guy. if i m just tell me. but i am still having fun just messing aroung with him.
artboy
I for one am not bored with Kronk. I like him. Very nice work.
JIM
Very olimpic and patriotic… wonder who is this guy representing…
Thank u for the help artboy.
-Ivan :o
Artboy, you sure are not boring me. I like to see a character come to life. Especially one as nicely done as Kronk…
