On this auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, the Birth of God Krishna, I would like to share my recent work…
The image depicts one of Krishna’s magnificent tales from his preadolescence days, where he defeats the dangerous evil-natured Kaliya Nag (mythological snake with multiple heads ). Kaliya Nag when conceded being vanquished by God himself ( Krishna is the eighth avatar of God Vishnu) pleaded for mercy. Krishna footed on Kaliya Nag’s head leaving all the villagers in wonder awe and astonishment.
